Understanding Dividend Income Projection
The Dividend Income Calculator maps the growth of your cash flow yields from stock holdings. By choosing to reinvest dividends (DRIP), you utilize your periodic payments to buy fractional/full shares of the stock. Over time, this compounding creates a snowball effect: more shares pay more dividends, which in turn buy more shares, accelerating your yield curves.
Compounding With DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment)
Every year, the simulation adjusts your numbers based on three criteria:
- Share Price Appreciation: The price per share increases annually by the appreciation rate.
- Dividend Growth Rate: The dividend paid per share increases annually by the dividend growth percentage.
- Dividend Reinvestment: Dividends received during the year are divided by the new share price to buy additional shares.
